The latest addition to the preservation of the history of Mannville and district is the museum located in the former Ukrainian Catholic Church at the entrance to Mannville on Highway #881 and North of Highway #16.
History portrayed from Sports to Farming and School are featured.
Open daily from 11 am to 5 pm
The Mannville Historical Telephone Exchange is the telephone museum that has been designated as a Historical Resource restored to 1940.
The building was constructed in 1917, the first one built in Northern Alberta.
Alice Rutherford was agent and operator for 48 years, the longest serving employee. Her oringal bedroom suite and dining room table was donated by her great grandduaghter from B.C.
The Northern Electric Switchboard is a working model between rooms and the phone booth.
There are displays panels showing the history of Mannville and Mannville Reflections Newspaper bound for interesting history.
This museum will be open Wednesday to Saturday from 2 - 4 pm or by appointment the other days and times.
